AMBULANCE | AMBULANCIA 

Durante la invasión israelí en Gaza en 2014, Mohamed Jabaly se sube a una ambulancia para darnos un testimonio en primera persona acerca de lo que está sucediendo. La vertiginosidad de la cámara y el Compromiso del realizador junto al de la tripulación de la ambulancia regala un fi lm poco apacible para los sensibles. Ambulance es un duro retrato sobre el conflicto en Gaza duranteel ataque de las fuerzas armadas israelíes por aire, tierra y mar. Gracias a la arremetida, más de 2.000 civiles palestinos son asesinados. La cámara y el micrófono de Jabaly se infi ltran en pleno campo de batalla para darle voz a un pueblo que necesita a gritos ser escuchado. Es posible que la crudeza de este film sea la única manera de reflejar de forma tan elocuente la realidad que azota a los palestinos.

During the 2014 israeli invasion to Gaza, Mohamed Jabaly hops into an ambulance to bring us a first person account about what is happening. The vertigo that transpires through the camera and the filmmaker’s commitment, along that of the ambulance crew, gifts us a film not suitable for the faint of heart. Ambulance is a tough portrayal of the conflict in Gaza during the air, land and sea attacks by the Israeli armed forces. As a result of the assault, more than 2,000 Palestinian civilians are murdered. Jabaly’s camera and microphone infiltrate the battlefield to give voice to a people which is crying to be heard. It just might be that the rawness of this film is the only way to eloquently reflect the reality lashing the Palestinians.

MOHAMED JABALY

Mohamed Jabaly es un cineasta y artista palestino de 26 años, originario de Gaza. Ha trabajado en diversas organizaciones y proyectos,formando a niños y jóvenes adultos dentro del mundo de la producción cinematográfica y de la fotografía. Desde 2011, ha realizado varios cortometrajes, documentales y videos musicales. Ha participado en muchas exhibiciones, festivales y talleres de cine locales, regionales e internacionales en Europa y en el mundo árabe. Mohamed es miembro del comité general de artistas expresivos y también es miembro de la Unión de Artistas Palestinos. En la actualidad, Mohamed trabaja como cineasta independiente en Tromsø, Noruega.

Mohamed Jabaly is a 26 years old Palestinian filmmaker and artist from Gaza. He has worked in several organizations and projects, training kids and young adults withinfilmmaking and photography. Since 2011, he has made several short films, documentaries and music videos. He has participated in many local, regional and international exhibitions, fi lm festivals and workshops in Europe and the Arab world. Mohamed is also member of the general committee of expression artists and member of the Union of Palestinian Artists. Mohamed is now based in Tromsø, Norway and working as a freelance filmmaker.
