A ULTIMA ESTAÇÃO

Septiembre de 2001: el viejo musulmán Tarik pierde a su esposa y, antes de morir, necesita cumplir con algunas promesas. Tarik deja todo y cruza Brasil, junto con su hija Samia, en busca de los jóvenes que vinieron con él desde el Líbano, cincuenta y un años antes.

June 1950: Still teenagers, the Lebanese, Tarik and his younger brother, Karim, left Lebanon and came to Brazil, in search for a better life. On the ship, they make friendship with other Lebanese and Syrian teenagers. Upon arrival in Brazil, each one goes his way and the years pass through… September 2001: The old Muslim Tarik loses his wife and, before dies, needs to fulfill some promises. Tarik leaves everything and crosses Brazil, together with his daughter Samia, in search of the boys who came with him from Lebanon, 51 years before. Each stop on this long journey will reveal a fabulous truth of more than 1001 nights.

Marcio Curi
Cineasta y productor, Marcio Curi dirigió, en asociación con Yanko del Pino, “A TV que virou estrela de cinema” (“La TV que se transformó en estrella de cine” – 1993). También fue productor de “Louco por cinema” (“Loco por el cine” – 1995), dirigida por André Luiz Oliveira y ganadora del premio a Mejor Película en el 27º Festival de Brasília do Cinema Brasileiro (27º Festival de Cine Brasileño de Brasilia), y de “Filhas do Vento” (“Hijas del viento” – 2004), dirigida por Joel Zito Araújo, la cual ganó ocho importantes premios en el 32º Festival de Cine de Gramado. En el 2010 vuelve a la dirección de películas con “A Última Estação” (“La Última Estación” – 2012).

Film maker and producer. Marcio Curi directed, in partnership with Yanko del Pino, “A TV que virou estrela de cinema” (“The TV that turned itself a Movie Star” - 1993). Also produced “Louco por cinema” (“Crazy for Cinema” - 1995), directed by André Luiz Oliveira, Best Film in the 27o Festival de Brasília do Cinema Brasileiro (27th. Brasilia Festival of Brazilian Cinema), and “Filhas do Vento” (“Daughters of the Wind” - 2004), directed by Joel Zito Araújo, that won eight major awards in the 32nd. Gramado Film Festival. In 2010 is back to film directing with “A Última Estação” ("The
Last Stop” - 2012).
