7 horas de diferencia es lo que sucede cuando el Este se reúne con el Oeste en los enriedos del amor, la cultura y, principalmente, la familia. Dalia estudia en Boston y regresa a Amán para ayudar en la boda de su hermana mayor Lina. El día de la ceremonia Dalia espera a su amiga egipcia Rula para que se una al festejo. Con la llegada de Rula, Dalia se sorprende de ver a su novio Jason con quien hace tres años que sale y que vino a conocer a su familia. Dalia había mantenido escondida de su familia su relación porque ellos nunca aceptarían a alguien de otra religión y cultura. Mientras ella trata de mantener el secreto, Jason le propone casamiento. Dalia deberá tomar decisiones que cambiarán su vida, debatiéndose entre el amor de Jason y su familia. ¿A quién elegirá?

A 7 hour difference is what happens when East meets West at the crossroads of love, culture, and most importantly family. Dalia studies in Boston and is back home to Amman, Jordan to attend her older sister LINA’s wedding. On the day of the Jaha, the fi rst of the ceremonies that lead to the wedding, Dalia is expecting her Egyptian best friend Rula who’s also studying with her in the states to arrive and join the celebrations. Rula arrives, and as Dalia rushes to greet her she is surprised that Jason her American boyfriend of three years, has come with Rula to get to know Dalia’s family Dalia has kept her relationship with Jason a secret from Lina and her widowed father Osama as they would never approve of it because of Jason’s different religion and cultural background. As Dalia, with the aid of Rula try to keep the truth concealed, Jason delivers the next surprise, he proposes! Dalia is then forced to evaluate her life and make decisions that will change it one way or the other. Struggling between her love for Jason and her love for her family, whom will she choose?

DEEMA AMR asistió a la Academia de Cine de Nueva York, trabajó en películas de distintas organizaciones como la Royal Film Commision-Jordan, Walk film festival and casting Jordan. Luego de graduarse del Instituo de Artes Cinematográficas RSICA Red Sea en Aqaba, Jordania , Amr finalizó su primer film “A 7 Hours Difference” en 2011. Ahora ella pertenece a la nueva generación de directoras árabes.

DEEMA AMR after attending New York Film Academy, she has worked for various film related organizations such as the Royal Film Commision – Jordan, Walk film festival and Casting Jordan for which she was the managing partner. After graduating from the RSICA Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts in Aqaba, Jordan, Deema finalized her first feature film “A 7 Hours Difference” in 2011. She belongs now to a new generation of upcoming female Arab directors.
